A Man Whose Wife Plotted To Kill Him Fakes His Death
A man staged his own death when he discovered his wife had hired a hitman to kill him.
Boxing coach Ramon Sosa and wife Maria ‘Lulu’ Sosa had been married for 6 years but when they feel into some financial difficulties Maria wanted a divorce.
Instead of waiting for the divorce to be finalized Maria took matters into her own hands and hired a hitman to carry out the killing of her husband offering $2,000 to do the job.
What Maria didn’t know was the man she hired was a former boxing student of Ramon’s and he ratted her out. In his bid to take his wife down, Ramon reported the case at Montgomery County police and faked his death.
He sent photos showing him lying in a shallow grave pretending to die from a gunshot wound to the head were sent to his wife, and law enforcement agents finalised the case.
“When I saw the video of her — when they showed her the staged photos of me dead with bullet in the side of my head — she giggled and laughed like she hit the lotto,” said Ramon,
“Lying in the dirt, pretending to be dead, was terrifying,” Ramon recalled.
“When I first met Lulu, I certainly didn’t expect our relationship to end like that.”
In October 2016, Lulu, 43, pleaded guilty to solicitation of murder and is now serving 20 years in prison.
