Birmingham Name Redknapp As New Manager

Birmingham City have appointed Harry Redknapp as their new manager.
The ex-West Ham, Tottenham and QPR manager has succeeded Gianfranco Zola, who resigned on Monday following defeat by Burton.
Redknapp took charge of Jordan for two World Cup qualifiers last year, and also worked as an advisor to Derby County last season.
Birmingham are currently 20th in the Championship, just three points above the relegation zone and they face local rivals Aston Villa on Saturday.
His appointment was announced just 16 hours after Zola’s departure, but the length of his contract has not yet been disclosed.
He has not managed in England since leaving QPR in February 2015, He won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008 and led Tottenham to the Champions League quarter-finals during a four-year spell at White Hart Lane.
