Champions League Fantastic Eight

Alas the Champions League round of 16 has come to an end, but sit down relax cause the last eight is promising a lot more drama.

I am feeling really excited about this year’s draws though. Last seasons teams that made it to the final eight were disappointing with the likes of  Benfica, PSG and Wolfburg who had no offense.

Now look at the caliber of teams in this years round of 8 with the Giants of Spain in Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, the Germans are represented by the Bavarians and Dortmund while the Italians have Juventus and we have the supposed giant killers in Leicester and Monaco.

Monaco showed their mental strength when they dug deep to beat Manchester city 3-1 and qualify on away goals.

So fingers crossed as we eagerly wait on the fixtures. The last-eight draw will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday, March 17 at 11am (UK time).
