Donald Trump has publicly responded to Snoop Dogg’s music video, where he pulls a gun on a clown version of the President.

In the video for “BadBadNotGood (Nightfall Remix),” Snoop can be seen holding a gun while a person dressed as Trump is standing by his side. Watch here if you missed it.

“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!,” Donald Trump tweeted early on Wednesday (March 15).

Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, called on Snoop to apologize for depicting an “assassination attempt” on the President of the United States.

“I’m not really sure I understand the artistic value having someone dressed up as Trump and firing a weapon at him,” stated Cohen.

Fellow rap stars Ice-T and Treach offered a defense of Snoop.

“It’s basically him saying everybody’s a clown, including Trump, which I think we all agree. The part where he points the gun at the president is against the law. You gotta know that,” Ice-T says into a camera. “You can’t kill the president. But I think he pushed the line.”

Treach added, “It was a confetti gun. When he shoots everything out, nobody got shot. Confetti came out. It’s artistic.”

Snoop Dogg joins the Hamilton cast, the Saturday Night Live cast, Meryl Streep, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and other “so-called ‘A’ list celebrities” on the list of famous critics to get a Twitter reaction from the POTUS.
