The nation’s power generation capacity dropped from 3, 959 megawatts to 2, 660 two megawatts on Friday.

That’s according to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
The drop was attributed to low water levels at the Hydro Power stations and dearth of gas to the power generating companies.

Meanwhile the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency has started the rehabilitation of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos to ease the difficulty faced by motorists.

FERMA is removing asphalt on four portions on the Obalende/Church Missionary Society bound carriageway.

The engineer in charge of the agency, Lagos East, Tayo Awodun said the agency was working on both carriageways of the bridge in a manner that would not affect the flow of traffic.
