Ex-NBA Player Rasual Butler & Wife Killed In Car Crash
Former NBA player Rasual Butler and his singer wife Leah LaBelle have lost their lives after a car crash in Studio City, CA on Wednesday morning.
TMZ reports that Butler lost control of his Range Rover around 2AM, skidded and struck a parking meter before crashing into a wall.
Reports say officers at the scene believe the car was speeding before it lost control.
Butler who played college basketball at La Salle University, finished his basketball career during the 2015-2016 season with the San Antonio Spurs. During his 14-year stint in the NBA, Butler played for multiple teams, including the Miami Heat, New Orleans Hornets, Chicago Bulls, and Indiana Pacers.
Butler’s wife Leah LaBelle was an R&B singer who reached the Top 12 on “American Idol” in 2004. She was later signed to Epic Records in 2011 and released two singles on the Sony Music label, “Sexify” and “Lolita,” in 2012 and 2013.
Butler is survived by a daughter, Raven from a previous relationship.
