FG Secures The Release of Another Set of 82 Chibok Schoolgirls
The Federal Government has announced the release of another 82 Chibok Schoolgirls.
With this, about 113 of the over 200 girls abducted by the insurgence in 2014 are still in the custody of the Boko Haram.
Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed the release of the girls in a statement he posted online on Saturday in Abuja.
According to him, the president will be receiving the rescued girls in Abuja on Sunday.
Shehu also confirmed that the girls were release by their captors in exchange for some Boko Haram suspects held by the Federal Government.
Meanwhile, there is wild jubilation in Chibok town, Borno State as parents and guardians of the abductees stormed the street to express joy over the good news.
