Nigerian artiste, 9ice, a few years ago, promised his fans in the song “Street Credibility” that he would bring home a grammy.

In the song “Street Credibility” which featured 2Baba, 9ice sang, “Don’t doubt me / I go bring home Grammy.”

A recent interview with Punch, 9ice said, “I am still working on bringing the Grammy to Nigeria. Abraham Lincoln tried several times before he became the president of the US while Buhari tried about four times before he became president. As long as I am still doing music, I can still get the Grammy.”

Yesterday on Rubbing Minds with Ebuka, the rapper reveals that he never promised anyone grammy. He said, “I didn’t promise you; I am promising myself what I want for my life. I am talking about my story. I [was] saying it to myself. I was speaking out loud. It is good that you asked; I am still holding on to it. Man propose, God dispose.”

Whether 9ice brings a grammy to Nigeria or not, he has given his fans some tasty music and we wait in anticipation for his latest projects.
