Jay-Z Releases First Official Video “The Story of O.J” Off New Album

by | 7th July 2017

JAY-Z has released his first official music video for his “4:44” album titled “The Story of O.J”.

The video, which has exclusively been on Tidal for a few days, has now been shared on his official YouTube page and has gotten more than 3million views as of when this story was posted.

According to USA Today, “the four minutes of black-and-white animation is meant to mimic blackface characters and other racist imagery of vintage Disney and Warner Bros. cartoons, among other studios guilty of using those representations.”

Earlier in the week on Monday, JAY-Z dropped a mini documentary on Tidal, called “Footnotes for The Story of O.J.”, and it featured prominent stars like Mahershala Ali, Michael Jordan, Chris Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Trevor Noah, and Will Smith talking about the black experience in America.
