by | 8th February 2018

Nigeria’s new kits for the 2018 World Cup in Russia have been unveiled as the Super Eagles gear up for this summer’s tournament in Russia.

The new kits designed by Nike, whose home shirt features a bright green-and-white zig-zag pattern spreading across the torso and the contrasting sleeves that pay homage to their USA 1994 campaign.

The away shirt is closer in resemblance to their more recent shirts with an all-over dark green design.

Four key players expected to be named to the Nigeria roster for the 2018 World Cup in Russia have expressed happiness with the new Super Eagles kits which they will wear during the Mundial.

The kits were unveiled at a ceremony in London attended by skipper Obi Mikel, Leicester City pair Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi. Even super star artist Wizkid joined in the unveiling ceremony.

The Super Eagles are expected to wear the jersey for the first time on March 23 when they face Poland in a pre-World Cup friendly in Warsaw before the commencement of their World Cup campaign against Croatia at the Kaliningrad Stadium on June 16.

Nigeria are in Group D alongside Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.
