by | 23rd November 2017

Nigerian dancer and choreographer Pinki Debbie has officially broken the Guinness World for “longest dancing marathon by an individual”.

The previous record held by Kalamandalam Hemaletha from India was 123 hours 15minutes and it was achieved September 20 to 26 in 2010.

Odumewu Debbi a.k.a Pinki Debbie started her attempt at The Palms Shopping Mall, VI on Friday, November 17 and broke the record yesterday. But guess what, she is still going and has her sights on setting a world’s best by going for 150 hours which is approximately seven days.

The 22-year-old dancer will be ending the challenge by 4pm on Friday, November 24, 2017.

Numerous celebrities like Kaffy, Small Doctor, Reekado Banks, Bryan Okwara and Seyi Law have shown their support by dancing with her during the course of the record breaking challenge.

You can follow, support and encourage her on her Instagram page – @pinkidebbie where she’s dancing live.

Congratulations Debbi!
