Saraki Reads Buhari’s Letter To Extend Vacation Before The Senate
The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has read President Muhammadu Buhari’s medical vacation extension letter before the senate.
Saraki also read a letter seeking the confirmation of acting Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
President Buhari informed the senate of the extension of his medical leave and that the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will continue to act on his behalf.
The senate however, asked the executive arm of government to provide the National Assembly with a clearer proposal of its 2017 budget.
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation and Social Welfare Ali Wakili was speaking after the committee alleged the abuse of the social intervention fund.
