Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr was all smiles this weekend after the Super Eagles defeated a resilient Zambian team 1-0 at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, which made them the first African nation to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Rohr had just achieved his biggest achievement yet since becoming a coach many years ago and obviously lazed in the joy of now becoming a coach to qualify for the biggest sporting event in world football.

Being a former coach of Burkina Faso, some would say, Rohr may not have achieved this milestone with Burkina Faso and speaking with reporters later, He said he was proud of his new found status.

“I am extremely proud to be a World Cup qualifying coach and hope to be in Russia to compete for glory and not to make up the number”, Rohr said.

He expressed confidence in the Super Eagles to put up a creditable outing that Nigerians will be proud of.
