Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has moved to shut down fresh online claims suggesting a split from actress Rosy Meurer, insisting that reports of divorce are based on misinformation and misunderstanding.
In a strongly worded clarification, Churchill stated that contrary to viral speculation, there was never a legally recognised marriage between him and Meurer. According to him, their relationship only involved a traditional introduction and was never formalised in court or through a white wedding ceremony, making talk of divorce “legally and factually incorrect.”
He also dismissed claims that he had been served divorce papers, questioning the authenticity of documents circulating on social media and urging the public to disregard what he described as fabricated narratives.
The controversy has resurfaced ongoing public interest in Churchill’s personal life, especially his past marriage to Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, which ended years ago and has continued to fuel online debates whenever new rumours emerge.
Churchill further cautioned against the spread of personal misinformation, stressing that private family matters should not be distorted for public consumption. He added that he has moved beyond past disputes and is focused on maintaining peace in his personal life.
As the debate continues to trend across social media, Rosy Meurer has yet to issue any public response, leaving the conversation largely driven by speculation and online reactions.
