Renowned Nigerian music star, Wizkid has released his first single in 2024 after months of anticipation for his sixth album ‘Morayo’.
The award-winning superstar to his social media announced the emergence of a new song featuring American R&B star Brent Faiya, on September 17, 2024.
The development was made public while the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s sophomore album ‘Ayo’ which has the mega-hit single ‘Ojuelelegba’ is being celebrated.
Music enthusiasts and fans of Wizkid have expressed excitement with a tribute to the album and the iconic song which had a significant role while Nigerian music was going global.
Interestingly, Wizkid’s anticipated single, ‘Piece of My Heart’ is his first release of 2024 in a year he has made guest collaborations on the remix of DJ Tunez’s ‘Apala Disco’ remix and on Shenseea’s ‘Work Me Out’.
His sixth album is undoubtedly a tribute to his late mother who passed away in 2023 as the song marks the start of the ‘Morayo’era.
