Afrobeats sensation reached a significant milestone by achieving Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
This certification is awarded for selling over 500,000 units in the United States, solidifying Burna Boy’s influence in both the Nigerian and international music markets.
Released on July 8, 2022, The Grammy-nominated album, Love, Damini is Burna Boy’s sixth studio album and features a blend of Afrobeat rhythms, reggae influences, and soulful lyrics.
The album includes hit singles such as Last Last and For My Hand featuring Ed Sheeran, both of which contributed to its commercial success. The project also features collaborations with international acts like J Balvin and J Hus.
This achievement places Love, Damini alongside Burna Boy’s previous album Twice as Tall in joining the ranks of the highest-certified Nigerian albums in the US.
