Nigerian comedian Seyi Law recently shared an intriguing personal experience in which he felt spiritually monitored through a pair of shoes gifted by an acquaintance.
On his X handle, Seyi Law wrote, “I wish it was only a mirror they could use to monitor someone sha. One must be very careful of gifts.
“On the 2nd March 2016, I had a vigil in my room, and as I prayed, God told me there was something in my house that they were using to monitor me and I found out it was a pair of shoes someone gifted me. My wife took it out and burnt it. Prior to that day, I always doubted people who said God spoke to them.”
This prompted him to seek the counsel of a spiritual advisor, who helped him reflect and pray about the situation.
After this period of spiritual introspection, Seyi Law came to the conclusion that the shoes carried a negative spiritual influence, which only disappeared after he disposed of them.
This revelation is part of Seyi Law’s broader reflections on his journey through spirituality and personal growth.
It sheds light on how superstition and belief in the supernatural play a significant role in the lives of many Nigerian celebrities.
By speaking out about his experience, Seyi Law offers a glimpse into the delicate balance entertainers often strike between public fame and private beliefs, particularly in an industry where spiritual protection from negative influences is a common concern.
