Mr. Macaroni Condemns Nigerian Politicians’ Disregard For Citizens

Nigerian comedian, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, has once again called out Nigerian politicians for their arrogant and exploitative behaviour toward the people they are elected to serve.

Speaking on social media, the activist criticized the lack of accountability in governance, citing recent incidents of misconduct by public officials.

One notable example he highlighted was the alleged assault of an Uber driver by a lawmaker from Abia State, who reportedly issued threats and demeaned the driver.

Additionally, Mr. Macaroni referenced the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s patronizing remarks to citizens during a public interaction, where he reportedly asked, “Are you stupid, is it because I came down to talk to you?”

Mr. Macaroni expressed frustration over such recurring behavior, emphasizing that politicians often forget they are public servants funded by taxpayers. He underscored that the arrogance and impunity displayed by many in power only deepen the divide between leaders and citizens.

His remarks have sparked widespread discourse among Nigerians, who share his sentiment that corruption and a lack of respect for the public are deeply entrenched in the country’s political system.

By using his platform, Mr. Macaroni continues to advocate for accountability and a shift toward people-centered leadership.
