Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia, born Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, has publicly apologized to individuals hurt by his past remarks on The Honest Bunch Podcast.
This comes in the wake of allegations and public scrutiny surrounding his conduct.
During a press conference in Lagos, Nedu expressed remorse, stating, “I am a child of God and I serve God… If something I have said has hurt you personally, forgive.”
The apology follows accusations from social media critic Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan, who claimed Nedu solicited sexual favors in exchange for movie roles. Additionally, Nigerian model Ugochukwu Nwokolo alleged coercion during his appearance on the podcast, asserting that his controversial remarks were influenced by Nedu.
In response to these allegations, Nedu announced his resignation from The Honest Bunch Podcast in February 2025, aiming to address the controversies and seek reconciliation.
Nedu also extended gratitude to his supporters, stating, “To all my followers and fans… thank you for your love.”
This series of events underscores the challenges public figures face in navigating personal conduct and public perception.
