Orange Hill Returns With Star-Studded Collab ‘Pon Time Again’

After years off the radar, UK DJ-collective Orange Hill is back—and they’ve made sure to return with flair.

Their newest single, “Pon Time Again”, unites dancehall heavyweight Vybz Kartel, actor-DJ and producer Idris Elba, and rising Nigerian Afrobeats artist Yung Alpha. The track—produced in collaboration with Yung Alpha—was released via Platoon and dropped this month.

What’s Behind the Buzz

Musical style & energy: “Pon Time Again” fuses Orange Hill’s signature EDM and electronic dance vibes with pulsating Afrobeats and dancehall rhythms—what many are calling a feel-good anthem built to light up clubs and festivals.

A long-awaited comeback: Orange Hill, fronted by Ras Kwame, had been relatively quiet since their Carnival EP in 2018. Their return with this track marks a strong statement.

Production & features: Yung Alpha not only features on vocals but also contributes to production. Meanwhile, Vybz Kartel brings his dancehall gravitas; Idris Elba adds his multi-faceted flair.

Orange Hill’s Journey

Origins: Formed in 2011, Orange Hill first made noise with “Wine De Best”, featuring Kano, Busy Signal, and Fatman Scoop. That debut entered the UK Official Singles Breakers Chart Top 20.

Collaborative history: Over the years, they’ve worked with acts like Mr Eazi, RDX, Sneakbo, and others. Their live reputation precedes them—having performed globally at SxSW, Notting Hill Carnival, Fabric (London), Glastonbury, and more.

Release & Reach

“Pon Time Again” is out now on all major streaming platforms via Platoon. A music-video visualiser is also circulating on video channels.

Social media promotion has kicked off: fans can hear the snippet from Vybz Kartel—“Pon Time Again, look out fi it”—which teases the track’s energy and replay potential.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just another track: “Pon Time Again” represents the crossroads of genres and geographies. It’s part of a broader wave where Afrobeats, dancehall, and electronic dance music are increasingly overlapping, driven by cross-continental collaborations and shared audiences. For Orange Hill, this marks more than a return—it’s a signal that their sound remains relevant and evolving.
