AFCON 2025 Qualifier: Super Eagles Arrive Uyo, Set To Face Libya

The Super Eagles have arrived Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Wednesday, ahead of the crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying clash against Libya.

Currently, the entire 23-man squad is now in camp, including the final arrivals, Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke, who joined their teammates on Wednesday.

The team has been training at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, the venue for Friday’s crucial match.

Nigeria, sitting at the top of Group D, is looking to maintain its unbeaten run in the qualifiers.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen has expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to perform and secure victory, despite the absence of star striker Victor Osimhen due to injury.

Super Eagles opponent, the Libyan national team, known as the Mediterranean Knights, arrived in Nigeria and will hold their first training session in Uyo ahead of the clash.
