Renowned Nigerian recording artiste Damilola Afolabi, well known as LAX has premiered a new song titled “Gbewa” on the hit music station, Rhythm FM.
Speaking as a guest on the Afternoon Drive with Eve on Rhythm 93.7 Fm, L.A.X said this year, he wants to keep it calm and strategically drop songs that will have more impact compared to the previous years whereby he dropped five to six singles.
The talented artist whose song titled “Caro” won him the “Diaspora Artiste of The Year” at the 2014 edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards; also stated that, he has no regrets, concerning his decisions to stick to music stressing, that he is now dropping more songs at the moment and taking the stakes higher to do better, songs and videos.
LAX who once signed a major-label deal with Starboy Entertainment, stated that there has been ups and downs; and even in the midst of all that is happening, he loves what he is doing because music is what he wants to do.
Concerning the information of him working with starboy, he cleared the air, as he stated that he is no longer with Starboy; showering encomiums on Wizkid, also revealing that he has learnt a lot from him; which makes him better, compared to what he was before joining meeting Wizkid.
On his relationship with other artists in his crew, he said, the scenario looks like that of a family, while Razaki is the company whereby, everything concerning music is done, stating that there is a recording studio, and media house and other things needed to do music.
L.A.X who started out as a rapper, was part of a three-man group called Flyboiz while he was still in high school, also revealed that he really likes to explore, thereby doing different sounds, as he aspired to go global with his music.
