Ahmed Musa Arrested On Suspicion Of Beating His Wife
Leicester City and Super Eagles striker, Ahmed Musa, has been arrested on suspicion of attacking and beating up his wife.
Musa was arrested at his five-bedroom mansion in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire where he lives with his wife and two children on Tuesday, April 4 after his side’s 2-0 win over Sunderland.
According to reports the police arrived at his house in response to a domestic abuse complaint from neighbours but found no one in the house.
The officers reportedly spent two hours taking a statement from Jamila, before leaving with Musa.
“A 24-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning at his home address near Leicester on suspicion of common assault,” said a spokesperson for Leicestershire police.
After questioning from the police, Musa was later released without charge.
Leicester City say they are aware of the matter and revealed that the forward will be given an opportunity to discuss the matter with the club.
Musa joined Leicester City in the summer of 2016 from CSKA Moscow for a then club record of £16.6m in July 2016.
