Motorists and sympathisers at the scene of the accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway have called on the Lagos and Federal Governments to collaborate and reconstruct the Otedola Bridge.

Thousands of the motorists protested when the governor arrived the place that the bridge was not good and had caused so many accidents in the last few years, claiming lives of innocent people.

About 40 vehicles and several persons got burnt when a petrol tanker exploded on the bridge on Thursday evening.

Though, the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority had recovered 9 dead bodies, eyewitnesses said that about 20 people died in the inferno.
