Anthony Joshua’s week has gone from bad to worse following his recent fight against Daniel Dubois.
The former two-time unified world heavyweight champion entered the bout as the favorite, but was stopped in brutal fashion by Dubois, raising questions about his future in the sport.
To add to Joshua’s woes, the British Boxing Board of Control has issued a 28-day suspension following his stoppage loss.
However, the suspension is a standard safety measure for British fighters who suffer such defeats, ensuring they undergo further medical examinations before returning to the ring.
The suspension will expire on October 19, but Joshua was not expected to fight again before then.
