Arsenal were able to secure their first away win of the season in a five goal thriller was they defeated newly promoted Cardiff City.


The Gunners opened the scoring through a Shkodran Mustafi header in the 11th minutes but Cardiff fought back as Victor Camarasa scored an equalizing goal on the stroke of half-time.


The second half started strongly for both side but Cardiff defence was broken when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored with a curling effort in the 62nd minute.


Arsenal’s lead did not last for long as Cardiff equalized once again thanks to a Danny Ward header in the 70th minute.


It seemed Neil Warnock‘s side would come away with a point until Alexandre Lacazette‘s powerful late winner in the proved the difference in a contest full of attacking quality and defensive fragility.
