The misinformation, originally posted by a right-wing account, gained traction after Musk shared it with a dismissive comment: “Disney sucks.”
Musk’s post triggered a wave of online vitriol, with Edebiri receiving death threats and racist abuse from enraged users. The Bear star addressed the controversy, criticizing Musk for his role in spreading the falsehood, calling him both a “fascist” and an “idiot.”
