Barcelona has sacked manager, Ernesto Valverde after two-and-a-half years at the Nou Camp, and replaced him with former Real Betis coach, Quique Setien.
According to Sky Sports, Valverde remains the first manager to be sacked by Barcelona mid-season since Louis van Gaal was dismissed in January 2003.
Valverde, 55, helped the club to two successive La Liga titles and they lead on goal difference this season but during his term they produced a series of unconvincing displays and failed attempts to reach the Champions League final.
Setien, 61, has had recent success in La Liga, guiding Las Palmas to survival in 2015, before taking Real Betis into Europe in 2018.
He has agreed to a two-and-a-half-year deal which puts him in charge until June 2022.
