Nigerian social media personality Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, recently confirmed that he has left Nigeria “temporarily” to focus on his mental health and well-being.
This comes after several run-ins with Nigerian law enforcement, who reportedly thwarted two earlier attempts by Bobrisky to leave the country due to unresolved legal issues.
In a post shared on social media, Bobrisky explained, “Yes, I’m here to confirm I’m out of Nigeria temporarily. I need to attend to my sanity and my health.”
His departure followed a recent incident where he was apprehended by Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) at the Seme border, with reports suggesting the anti-graft agency later intervened.
Despite these setbacks, Bobrisky eventually managed to leave, marking a brief hiatus from his controversies in Nigeria.
His departure has sparked a range of reactions online, with some followers expressing support for his decision to prioritize his mental health, while others speculate about potential legal complications he may face upon his return.
