American actor and film producer Brad Pitt is back in the driver’s seat—literally—in the newly released trailer for F1, the adrenaline-fueled racing drama set to hit theaters on June 27, 2025.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer alongside seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, the film promises an immersive dive into the high-stakes world of Formula 1 racing.
In F1, Pitt portrays Sonny Hayes, a retired F1 driver who returns to the circuit to mentor rookie sensation Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. The film’s commitment to authenticity is evident, with scenes shot during actual Grand Prix weekends across iconic tracks like Silverstone, Spa, and Monza. Pitt and Idris underwent extensive training, piloting modified F2 cars equipped with IMAX cameras to capture the thrill of real racing speeds.
The ensemble cast features Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, and Sarah Niles. Notably, real-life F1 drivers, including Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz, make appearances, blending the line between fiction and reality.
The film’s soundtrack boasts contributions from artists like Rosé of BLACKPINK, who released the single “Messy” as part of F1: The Album.
F1 is scheduled for international release on June 25, 2025, and in the United States on June 27, 2025.
