Burna Boy’s Single, ‘Alone’ Certified Gold By RIAA In The U.S

Global music icon Burna Boy continues his reign as one of Africa’s most decorated artists, adding another golden feather to his cap.

His emotionally charged single “Alone,” featured on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, has officially been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after surpassing 500,000 units in sales across the United States.

A Cinematic Anthem with Global Impact

Released in November 2022, “Alone” became an instant favorite, seamlessly blending Burna Boy’s signature Afro-fusion sound with the powerful themes of the Black Panther sequel. The song has amassed over 164 million streams on Spotify, making it the second most-streamed track on the album—trailing only behind Rihanna’s contribution.

Breaking Barriers, Setting Records

Burna Boy’s latest milestone comes just a year after his chart-topping hit “Last Last” was certified Platinum by the RIAA in March 2023, marking over 1 million units sold in the U.S. With this latest achievement, Burna Boy becomes the first African artist to have two solo songs earn RIAA certifications in America, solidifying his global dominance.

From sold-out arenas to record-breaking streams, Burna Boy’s influence continues to transcend borders, proving that African music isn’t just making waves—it’s rewriting the global music narrative.
