Celtic 1-2 Chelsea: Blues Secure Win In UEFA Women’s Champions League

Chelsea continued their 2024/25 UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign on Wednesday, with a 2-1 victory over Celtic at Parkhead.

The Blues faced an early setback when Murphy Agnew’s strike put Celtic ahead in the 22nd minute. However, Chelsea responded quickly, with Lauren Lawrence scoring the equalizer in the second half.

Guro Reiten then netted the winning goal, completing the comeback and securing all three points for Chelsea.

Despite Celtic’s spirited challenge, Chelsea’s superior quality saw them maintain their perfect record in Group B. The victory not only reinforced their place at the top of the group but also showcased the depth of their squad, with key players stepping up when needed most.

The result strengthens Chelsea’s position as one of the favorites to progress deep into the tournament. As the team looks ahead to their next group-stage match, their focus will be on extending their unbeaten streak and continuing their dominance in European competition.
