Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes First Person To Hit 500M Followers On Instagram

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has broken another record by becoming the first person to reach 500 million followers on Instagram.

The superstar athlete joined Instagram in October 2012 and has posted over 3,000 photos to the image-sharing social media site.

He recently made headlines for his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV. However, the 37-year-old has gained more followers, despite the criticism he received of his interview.

During the interview, the star player didn’t hold back and took aim at the club’s owners, manager Erik ten Hag, as well as club legends Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi recently broke the internet when they posted an advertisement playing chess in Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign on their Instagram account.
