Runtown Looking To Lead #EndSars Protest In Lagos

Nigerian singer, Runtown has announced he will be leading a protest to end the terror carried out by men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).

The music star took to his Twitter page on Sunday tweeting:

This has gone long enough and now we MUST take action! I’ll be leading a protest to #ENDSARS on Thursday, October 8th, 2020. They MUST listen to us, they MUST make/effect REAL and VISIBLE changes! Empty promises won’t work this time!!!



Runtown joins the list of celebrities who have reacted to call for protest against killings and extortion by police officers. Other music stars who took to social media to react were Olamide, Davido, Naira Marley, Rude Boy, Don Jazzy, Yemi Alade.



Earlier on Saturday, music star, Wizkid called on Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari to focus on issues affecting the country and youths instead of matters in America.


In a separate tweet, he also called on the Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-olu to do something about the SARS threat.
