Nigerian actor, Femi Adebayo has won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 20th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for his role in Jagun Jagun.
Adebayo who is also the producer of the film Jagun Jagun achieved this feat and was honoured in the event which was organised to celebrate achievements in African cinema, as Jagun Jagun received award for Achievement in Visual Effects and Makeup in the event which was held in Lagos.
Others who won during the event were Jackie Appiah, who secured Best Actress in a Leading Role for Red Carpet, and South African Zolisa Xaluva, awarded Best Actor in a Leading Role for The Queenstown Kings.
The event also honored industry veterans, with Lifetime Achievement Awards presented to notable African filmmakers from Mali, Tunisia, and Ethiopia, highlighting the pan-African spirit of the AMAA celebration.
This 20th anniversary of the AMAA highlighted the contributions of African filmmakers and the growing impact of African cinema on the global stage.
