Nigerian comedian and actor, Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has made it clear that while he has chosen to forgive his estranged wife, Darasimi, he will never take her back.
Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Lande addressed the controversy surrounding his marriage, revealing that his decision is driven by faith and self-respect.
“For my own peace and to make heaven, I have forgiven her. But taking her back? That chapter is closed,” Lande declared, emphasizing that forgiveness does not mean returning to a broken relationship.
The comedian had earlier accused Darasimi of infidelity, alleging that she had affairs with over 20 men, including actor Babatunde Tayo (Baba Tee). While Baba Tee initially denied the allegations, he later confessed to an intimate encounter with Darasimi, claiming he was unaware she was married at the time.
Despite the allegations, Darasimi has strongly denied any wrongdoing, attributing the situation to a game of ‘Truth or Dare’ that was blown out of proportion.
Lande, however, remains unwavering in his decision, advising others to embrace forgiveness but set firm boundaries. “No matter what someone does to you, if they ask for forgiveness, give it. But never let the same mistake happen twice,” he cautioned.
His stance has ignited debates on social media, with many weighing in on the complexities of trust, second chances, and the fine line between forgiveness and self-respect in relationships. As the drama continues to unfold, one thing is certain—Ijoba Lande is choosing peace over pain.
