Frank Lampard Appointed Coventry New Boss To succeed Mark Robins

Frank Lampard has been appointed as the new head coach of Coventry City, following the departure of Mark Robins, who had overseen a successful seven-year reign.

Lampard, 46, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, marking his return to management after a period of absence.

He will be supported by Joe Edwards and Chris Jones, both of whom have previously worked with him at Chelsea.

Coventry City’s chairman, Doug King, expressed confidence in Lampard’s ability to take the club forward, emphasizing the former Chelsea and Everton manager’s experience at the top levels of English football.

King praised Lampard’s deep understanding of the Championship, a league in which he began his managerial career at Derby County, and believes his insights will be invaluable to the team.

The Sky Blues’ decision to part ways with Robins, who guided the club from League Two to the Championship and reached the FA Cup semi-finals last season, signals a new chapter in the club’s pursuit of greater success .
