The 68th Annual Grammy Awards turned the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles into a global celebration of sound, culture, and creativity on February 1, 2026, delivering a night packed with historic wins, emotional moments, and genre-spanning performances.
Hosted for the sixth time by Trevor Noah, the ceremony honoured the artists and recordings that shaped the music year between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025.
The night belonged in large part to Bad Bunny, who rewrote Grammy history by becoming the first artist to win Album of the Year with a Spanish-language project, Debí Tirar Más Fotos. His dominance didn’t stop there, as he also secured wins for Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance, reinforcing his status as one of the most influential global artists of his generation.
Hip-hop and R&B also had their defining moments. Kendrick Lamar and SZA clinched Record of the Year with luther, while Billie Eilish and longtime collaborator Finneas claimed Song of the Year for WILDFLOWER. Breakout British singer Olivia Dean emerged as one of the night’s brightest stars, winning Best New Artist in her first major Grammy success.
Across genres, the awards reflected the industry’s growing diversity. Lady Gaga picked up Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Dance Pop Recording, Kehlani swept both Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance, and Tyler, the Creator crossed genre lines with wins for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album for Turnstile. On the global stage, Tyla claimed Best African Music Performance, while music icon Gloria Estefan was honoured with Best Tropical Latin Album.
One of the most moving moments of the night came when Lola Young earned her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance with Messy, marking a powerful return after a period away from the spotlight to focus on her mental health.
Beyond individual artists, the 2026 Grammys also celebrated excellence in visual media, with projects such as Sinners earning top honours for both Best Soundtrack and Best Score, highlighting the growing influence of music across film and television.
More than just a night of trophies, the 2026 Grammy Awards reflected an industry in motion — expansive, inclusive, and unafraid to evolve. From global pop and hip-hop to African, Latin, and alternative sounds, the ceremony reaffirmed the Grammys’ place as a mirror of contemporary music and a benchmark for artistic excellence worldwide.
