It was a moment of pure emotion and triumph on Tuesday as Opeyemi “Imisi” Ayanwale, winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, broke down in tears while receiving her ₦80 million cash prize and a brand-new Innoson SUV at the official prize presentation ceremony in Lagos.
The colourful event, held at the MultiChoice Nigeria office in Ilupeju, marked the culmination of Imisi’s 72-day journey in the Big Brother house — a journey that captured the hearts of millions across Africa.
Imisi’s total prize package is worth a staggering ₦150 million, including her ₦80 million cheque, the SUV, and an array of gifts, endorsements, and sponsored experiences. The Innoson vehicle — a gleaming white model wrapped in ribbons — drew loud cheers as she posed beside it, visibly overwhelmed by the life-changing moment.
Speaking through tears, Imisi thanked her fans, family, and the show’s sponsors for their unwavering support.
“This still feels like a dream. I came here believing anything was possible, and now I’m leaving with more than I ever imagined,” she said.
The 27-year-old Lagos-based fashion designer and actress secured victory with 42.8% of the total votes, defeating runner-up Dede, who garnered 15.94%, and other finalists, including Koyin and Sultana.
