Jussie Smollett’s “Empire” Scenes Get Cut After Attack Controversy

Jussie Smollett might see less time on “Empire” as some of his scenes are getting cut following the conflicting stories surrounding the alleged attack.

According to TMZ, the 36-year-old was supposed to be included in nine scenes and a musical number in this season’s second to the last episode. However, five of those acting scenes and the musical performance have supposedly been axed.

Smollett is being accused of paying Ola and Abel Osundairo $3,500 to fake an attack in Chicago. The alleged crime was first reported as an assault by racist and homophobic Donald Trump supporters.

Police sources are now suggesting Smollett orchestrated the hoax to gain a public reaction. The openly gay man known for playing Jamal Lyon on Empire is currently insisting the violent encounter was not a hoax.
