Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardasian-Jenner sisters, at 21 has officially become the youngest self-made billionaire in the world.
The reality TV star has knocked Facebook tycoon Mark Zuckerberg off the top Forbes’ annual billionaires list who formerly held the position by becoming a billionaire at the age of 23.
Jenner’s new-found title is a result of her Kylie Cosmetics empire, which was founded in 2015 and is now estimated to be worth a staggering $800 million.
Jenner, who owns a 100 percent stake in it, has separate income from endorsements and her family’s reality TV show. She also owns an impressive portfolio of real estate.
Jenner, who once told InStyle her mother ‘cut her off’ financially aged 14, said: “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”
The star said she credits the “power of social media”, adding that she sees the company going “very far.”
“I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything [because of social media],” she said. “I see Kylie Cosmetics going very far. I work really hard.”
