Fourteen individuals have been arrested in Berger, Lagos, by operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps for violating environmental laws.
On the reasons for their arrest, it was revealed that were caught engaging in open defecation and crossing the highway without using pedestrian bridges.
This was revealed was in a post on X.com on Thursday by the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.
To maintain a clean and orderly environment in line with its “Zero Tolerance” policy, the state government have decided to make sure everyone maintains law and order.
“Fourteen individuals were arrested at Berger last night for open defecation, open urination, and not using the pedestrian bridge,” Wahab wrote.
