The body of the owner of the collapsed 21-storey building in Ikoyi, Mr. Femi Osibona, has been recovered on Thursday, as 40 persons have been reported dead on Friday.

The discovery of Osibona’s body follows controversies of him being trapped in the rubble of the building under construction which collapsed on Monday.

Before the body was found, 55-year-old Osibona was a businessman and Chief Executive of Fourscore Heights Limited.

As at the time of his demise, at least 38 persons were found dead by the rescue team, while families have documented 19 names on the register of missing persons open at the site of the crisis by the Lagos State Government.

Meanwhile, in reaction to the development, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu have announced a three-day mourning period, for the victims.

The governor also visited the scene of the incident multiple number of times after the incident occurred, since the incident occurred on Monday.
