Rapper, Lil Kim has been quiet for over a decade, but that’s about to change as she is set to drop a new album on May 17.
The Queen Bee announced via Twitter that her latest full-length, which will be her fifth LP and first in 14 years, is titled “9.”
The album title is interesting because ‘Nine’ means a few things to Lil Kim. Her daughter was born on June 9th and the late great Christopher Wallace was killed on March 9th.
After releasing the first single “Go Awff” last month, Kim will mark the album announcement by unveiling its official video this Friday (March 29).

Lil Kim’s last album, “The Naked Truth”, arrived back in 2005 and featured the single “Lighters Up”. It marked her fourth full-length LP, proceeded by “La Bella Mafia” (2003), “The Notorious K.I.M” (2000), and “Hard Core” (1996).
The new album was originally expected last year after the rapper kicked off the release with a track called “Nasty.”
Despite not having released a full studio album since 2005, a number of mixtapes have emerged since – with 2016’s “Lil Kim Season” being the most recent.
