by | 10th October 2018

Lil Wayne‘s long-awaited new album “Tha Carter V” is the number one album in the US as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts.

This marks the New Orleans rapper’s fourth No. 1 album on the Billboards charts.

Released Friday, September 28, the full-length earned 480,000 equivalent album units in the week ending October 4, according to Nielsen Music – the third largest debut week for an album in 2018 (after Drake’s “Scorpion” and Travis Scott’s “Astroworld”).

Logging 433 million on-demand audio streams, ‘The Carter V’ had the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album behind Drake’s Scorpion.

Behind Wayne’s ‘The Carter V’, Logic‘s “YSIV” debuted at No. 2 on the chart.
