Four years has passed since Marvel Studios came out with the fictional Wakanda nation and the beloved “Black Panther” movie.
To celebrate the four-year anniversary of Black Panther (2018), actress Lupita Nyong’o took to her Instagram page to share photos of some of the cast members including Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, and others.
“Greetings from Wakanda! Happy 4th anniversary to #BlackPanther. ??♀️”, she captioned her post.

Black Panther was very successful in the box office, but also at the Oscars — something that “Spider-Man: No Way Home” couldn’t do — as the movie earned four Oscars. Fans loved the movie and wanted to see more of Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa in the MCU. Sadly, Chadwick Boseman died over a year ago from cancer which has led Marvel in a tricky spot for the Black Panther sequel.
Production was put on pause back in 2021 with reports confirmed that it was to allow lead star Letitia Wright recover from serious injuries sustained while filming. Production was slated to resume in January ahead of its November 2022 theatrical release.
Going by the new photos, the actress is back on her feet and ready to get back to playing Shuri, the tech savvy sister of King T’Challa.
