Mourinho Fined, Gets One-Match Ban For Condemning Match Officials

Fenerbahçe’s head coach, José Mourinho, received a one-match ban and a $26,200 fine from the Turkish Football Federation after he criticised Turkish officiating.

Mourinho’s comments came after his team’s intense match against Trabzonspor, where he openly questioned referee impartiality and suggested bias against Fenerbahçe.

In addition, Mourinho was fined $1,700 for unsportsmanlike conduct toward opposing fans.

His ban prohibits him from entering the locker room during Sunday’s match against Sivasspor, underscoring Turkey’s strict stance on respecting refereeing authority
