Global Afrobeats sensation Mr Eazi has made a triumphant return to his musical origins with the release of his latest EP, “Maison Rouge.” The seven-track project marks a heartfelt revival of his signature Banku music — a mellow fusion of Ghanaian highlife rhythms and Nigerian Afropop melodies that first catapulted him to global recognition.
The title, Maison Rouge (French for Red House), pays homage to the villa in Cotonou, Benin, where Mr Eazi wrote and produced much of the project. The serene environment became a creative retreat, allowing him to rediscover the core of his artistry and reconnect with the sounds that defined his early career.
