Napoli has taken a definitive position regarding the future of their star striker, Victor Osimhen, making it clear that a transfer to Serie A rivals Juventus is not an option.
The club’s management, led by President Aurelio De Laurentiis, has emphasized their unwillingness to negotiate with domestic competitors, especially Juventus, for Osimhen’s services.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has attracted interest from several European clubs due to his impressive performance, scoring 26 goals in 30 appearances. While his contract includes a €75 million release clause, this clause is reportedly only applicable to foreign clubs, effectively excluding Italian teams like Juventus from triggering it directly.
Juventus, under the direction of sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, who originally brought Osimhen to Napoli in 2020, has shown interest in acquiring the Nigerian forward. However, any potential deal would require direct negotiations with Napoli, a scenario the club is keen to avoid, particularly with domestic rivals.
This firm stance by Napoli underscores their commitment to maintaining competitive integrity within Serie A and protecting their assets from strengthening rival teams. As the summer transfer window approaches, Osimhen’s future remains a topic of speculation, but a move to Juventus appears firmly off the table.
