Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, has tested positive for coronavirus.
Onyeama, who is also a member of the coronavirus Presidential Task Force in Nigeria made the announcement on Twitter on Sunday, saying his test came back positive on Saturday and that he is heading for isolation in a health facility.
He tweeted: “Did my fourth Covid-19 test yesterday at the first sign of a throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive. That is life! Win some lose some. Heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best”.
The news came after Onyeama announced that Nigerians that are being evacuated from France, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Norway, Germany, Holland, UK and Canada all tested negative before boarding for Nigeria on Sunday.
